In 2018, Guardian Health Ltd was looking to expand into manufacturing by building and operating a state-of-the-art oral solid drugs manufacturing facility in Kampala. The facility is expected to boast a capacity of over 120 million capsules and 720 million tablets p.a.

The facility was expected to boast a capacity of over 120 million capsules and 720 million tablets p.a. Unfortunately, due to low marginal profit and high investment costs, the project has shown to be not profitable in the medium term and has been therefore abandoned. Guardian Health ltd. is nowadays prospering with pharmacy businesses and keeps enlarging their presence in the Country.
